About the Author

James P. Choca, PhD, is the chair of the Psychology Department and a full professor at Roosevelt University in Chicago. He joined Roosevelt in 1999 to head the doctoral program in clinical psychology.

Dr. Choca had been the head of the Psychology Service at the Lakeside Veterans' Administration Medical Center and an associate professor in the psychology program at the Northwestern University Medical School.
